CONCEPT

Is ice your passion? It's summer but you can't wait to pick up your ice axes again? Then your wardrobe can't be without the Polaris, the trousers designed and developed in every detail to satisfy all the needs required by an ice specialist. The Polaris were born from the collaboration and feedback received from professional mountaineers such as the Ragni di Lecco , profound connoisseurs of all frozen terrains. The main fabric used is a 2.5 layer with excellent performance in terms of waterproofness (10,000 mm water column) and breathability (10,000 g / m2 / 24 hours). Breathable but at the same time waterproof; water vapour is carried to the outside and snow and ice do not penetrate inside. A very robust 3L big ripstop fabric, always 10K / 10K, has been used on the bottom of the legs to protect from edges and crampons and on the upper front of the legs to safeguard from any abrasions caused by ice screws hanging from the harness. Particular attention has been paid to the development of the bottom of the leg: two flaps with Velcro adjust the width of the same in such a way as to make it enveloping both with the use of ski boots during approaches and with ice boots during climbing and thus reducing to a minimum the possibility of crampons and scratching it with the edges. A long zip and bellows also opens at the bottom and inside it has an internal gaiter adjustable with button and Velcro that can be removed if not needed. Excellent fit is instead guaranteed by the adjustment at the waist via flap with Velcro and by the ergonomic shape of the knees that leave maximum expressiveness of movement during climbing. Predisposition to add any braces. Two long zips with double sliders on the sides allow excellent management of heat and ventilation during approaches. The pockets have also been designed in such a way as to be easily accessible while wearing a harness. Nothing has been left to chance for the Polaris trousers; always dry and never cold. The ideal trousers for tackling vertical ice !
