Silex Hybrid Man Jacket

CONCEPT

Silex is the result of close collaboration with the Ragni di Lecco group of professional mountaineers, who have profound knowledge of the mountains. Silex is a hybrid jacket developed in response to the need for a thermo-regulating, lightweight and breathable garment. To achieve this goal, high-performance materials were used and the development followed the concept of body mapping . In activities such as ski mountaineering, mountaineering or climbing, where intense efforts are often interrupted by more static moments, temperature control is essential to avoid getting cold or sweating too much. Hence the need to use different padding and fabrics in different areas of the body. The HolesNet padding has been positioned on the front of the body where, thanks to its particular structure with holes, in addition to keeping the garment light and ensuring the right thermal input, it allows optimal air circulation and the escape of water vapor during the most intense activities. Sleeves, back, sides and hood lining are instead made with OCTUPUS yarn that ensures lightness, comfort and extra warmth thanks to its octagonal section construction. Elasticated and laser- perforated under-arm inserts also ensure better breathability, temperature regulation and freedom of movement. An ultra-light 10D ripstop Nylon was chosen for the external fabric of the front and hood, which, in addition to being resistant, guarantees lightness and protection.

Two large zip pockets have been positioned so as to be easily accessible with a harness and gloves and, if necessary, kept open, constitute an additional ventilation system thanks to the internal mesh lining that allows the exchange of air with the outside. The cuffs are made of double lycra which, in addition to making them resistant to abrasion, ensures an anatomical and comfortable fit. Lycra tape is also used on the edge of the hood to make it enveloping over the head and protect from wind and cold. An ultra-technical garment, developed in the smallest details by the most demanding mountaineers , to wear or to always have in your backpack on every ascent; in fact, it is packable in its left pocket with minimum encumbrance.
